Consumer law protects the economic interests of the consumer in goods and services relations. As Ertan Law & Consultancy, in Bursa we provide consultancy and application support to consumers within the framework of Law No. 6502 (Consumer Protection Law) and the relevant regulations.

Our Areas of Practice

  • Defective goods: The purchased good turning out to be contrary to the contract, incomplete, or faulty. The consumer may choose among the rights to withdraw from the contract, price reduction, free repair, and replacement with an equivalent.
  • Defective services: Performance of the service that is incomplete, delayed, or contrary to the contract.
  • Distance sales: The fourteen-day right of withdrawal for purchases made over the internet and by telephone. The exceptions to the right of withdrawal vary by product.
  • Consumer loans and housing finance: Disputes concerning interest rates, commissions, early payment, life insurance, and charges.
  • Package tours, subscriptions, and timeshare: Tour cancellation, defects in hotel services, subscription cancellation, and withdrawal from timeshare contracts.
  • Unfair terms: Contractual terms that have not been individually negotiated and create an imbalance to the detriment of the consumer are void.
  • Product liability and warranty: Warranty certificate, service obligations, and spare parts.
